What if I like a program but there are two experiences I want to change?
FoodieStay plans are totally personalized, you can change the order of experiences, add, remove others, we always show an example of what would be a complete program but there are many options. You can fill out the form without any commitment so that we can make you a travel proposal tailored to your needs.
Are FoodieStay trips for private groups or to enjoy with new people?
Most trips are tailor-made for you and yours. When a travel proposal is requested through the web or telephone we create a program tailored to the request. It is also possible to travel with people you don't know. In that case you only have to specify it in your application or let us know, we will propose trips where you can meet people with your concerns. Most of the time it coincides with the program you see on the website, because many people are interested in them and some do not want to make the trip in private group.
What kind of trip can I book?
Two types of trips can be booked: personalized trips in private group or trips to enjoy the destinations while we meet new people in groups open to other people.
How far in advance can I book my trip?
If the trips are described on the web (which are trips in open groups) you can join up to 48 hours before the start of the program. If they are private trips you can leave the next day, just keep in mind that expenses increase if we organize everything at the last minute and that some activities may not be available. Ideally, a trip should be booked at least three weeks or one month in advance.
Are there more destinations available or does FoodieStay only operate in the countries I find on the web?
FoodieStay operates in the countries you find on the web if you want to book in the next 4 months. We are continually expanding and adding new destinations. If you are interested in alternative destinations ask for them in the contact form, we have the capacity to expand our services.
What is the procedure for booking my trip?
It consists of three steps. Fill in the application form for the program you are interested in or contact us through the form on the page "Tailored" 2. We will contact you with a proposal. 3. We proceed to the hiring entering 30% of the total cost of the trip.
How much do I have to pay at the time of booking?
In order to make a reservation, 30% of the total cost of the trip is paid. The remaining 70% is paid one month before departure, we will send you an email or write you a message to remind you. In the case of hiring a trip with less than one month from the date of departure, the total of the trip is paid at the time of hiring.
How is the reservation or the value of the trip paid?
You can pay either by bank transfer, credit card or Paypal. In all cases an invoice is given to the client for the payment made.
How is the travel documentation delivered?
The booking of your trip is confirmed by email. A confirmation of the final programme with the hotels (if any) and the booeked activities is then sent within 24 hours. Tickets, vouchers and reservations will be sent by e-mail.
What information is required to make a reservation?
To confirm a reservation, we need the personal data: name, surname, ID card, date of birth, postal address, mobile and, above all, an email. Remember that if your trip includes flights or other similar services, it is very important to write your first and last names as they appear on your passport or ID card. Any modification or cancellation would be a penalty. You can't use diminutives or nicknames, because you may have problems boarding with the airline. The passport or DNI will be the document that will be requested.
Is it possible to hire extra nights in programs that are not private?
Yes, in most of the programs we can extend the stay, everything depends on the availability.
Are there changes in the programs once we are in the contracted destination?
Our intention is to always comply with the established program. Due to the interest of the participants and organizational details, weather or special causes, the order (but not the content) of the excursions may vary with respect to the itinerary published on the web or contracted privately. For reasons of force majeure some activity may be modified, always being replaced by a similar alternative.
What are the arrival and departure times of a hotel?
The international arrival and departure times are 12 noon, but some establishments may modify this rule, so we advise you to consult the observations section and check the time at the hotel reception. Also, it can happen that the client who ends his stay and the next overlap in the timetable. Faced with this situation, the client who is going to make his or her entry must allow a time frame until the preparation of his or her accommodation. This situation may be more likely in high occupancy seasons.
How far in advance do I have to be at the airport?
We recommend that you arrive at the airport at least two and a half hours before departure. In this way, you will have enough time to check in, deliver your luggage, pass immigration and security controls and arrive at the boarding gate. The "Flight Acceptance Deadline" is the minimum time before your scheduled departure time at which you must already have been admitted to the flight, have your baggage checked in, and be in possession of your boarding pass. Remember that it is your responsibility to comply with this schedule and essential to enjoy your family vacation without setbacks.
What cancellation policies does FoodieStay accept?
ll of our trips have the same cancellation policy. Cancellation is accepted at any time, including the day before the start of the program. If you cancel up to two weeks before the start of the trip, the full amount will be refunded. If you cancel within two weeks before the start of the program then 80% will be refunded.
Can I cancel an activity once I am at the destination?
Our trips are usually quite flexible, we can move plans and change activities during the preparation of the program. Once at the destination, if you do not want to do an activity, it can be cancelled. However, there is no refund for the cancelled experience.
Is my personal data protected?
FoodieStay SL guarantees the security and confidentiality of the facilitated data that will be included in a file property of FoodieStay, with the purpose of operating the contracted service. The data provided will be kept for as long as the business relationship is maintained or for as long as necessary to comply with legal obligations. This does not preclude the possibility of the treatments authorized by you, for the treatments for advertising purposes, keeping this information as long as you do not exercise your right of suppression or opposition and subsequently during the legal periods of claim. The data will not be transferred to third parties except in cases where there is a legal obligation. You have the right to access your personal data, rectify or request their deletion when the data are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were collected, as well as any rights recognized in the RGPD 2016/679.
Is there travel assistance insurance?
Depending on the destination, in our trips a basic inclusion insurance could be attached, which includes some coverages and compensations for possible accidents of the traveller. Please check the coverage and conditions before starting your trip.
Is there cancellation insurance? In what cases does it cover me?
Due to the increasingly strict cancellation policies applied in the sector, we consider it very necessary and recommend that you take out cancellation insurance. The contracting of our optional insurances will have to be carried out at the moment of the acceptance of the budget and it would cover medical and labour unforeseen events that could arise from the moment of the contracting of a trip. In no case will it cover a voluntary withdrawal.
Can I make changes to my reservation?
In FoodieStay we can make changes of dates in some occasions, depending on the contracted trip, as long as it does not include flights or any other type of transfers and there is availability for new chosen dates. If this is the case, this change will result in an economic modification. Similarly, name changes may be made only if all of the above conditions are fulfiled.
What documentation does a minor need to travel?
Check all the requirements you must fulfil when travelling with children and babies taking into account their age and destination. All passengers must carry an ID card or passport. For minors traveling with their parents on domestic flights without ID or passport, you can request the family book. When traveling on international flights, all minors must present their own ID card or passport, in addition to complying with the requirements of the destination country. If the person accompanying the minor is not one of his/her parents, in the case of minors under 14 years of age without ID card or passport, the authorities may request a notarial accreditation with the personal data of the minor together with his/her photograph and which includes the authorization of the parent or guardian to travel, as well as an authorization formalized in some Police Unit: through the personal appearance of the parent or guardian, in the name of the person in charge of the custody of the minor during the trip, and which will be checked at all times together with the ID card or passport of this person. For international flights (European and third countries) all minors must present their own ID card or passport, in addition to complying with the requirements of the country to which they travel.
